Every first Thursday of the month The Montclair Art Museum offers free admission into the museum from 5pm-9pm. I am excited to announce that I will be the featured model for the free open studio session this Thursday, January 3rd. Since this free session is open to the public, it will be clothed. All ages, skill levels, and mediums are welcome. There will be an experienced artist monitoring the session who will be available to assist or answer any questions you may have.
I hope to see some artists I have worked with in the past as well as some new faces!
For more information check out the MAM website or contact me with any questions.
Every first Thursday of the month,* MAM will be open late, 5 – 9 p.m., with free admission, dynamic programming, live music, tours, and a full-service bar. Offerings will change on a monthly basis, providing something new to see or do at every First Thursday Night, enjoy:
*Late hours, 5–9 p.m.
*Free admission to the galleries. This will be the last Free First Thursday Night chance to see "Georgia O'Keeffe in New Mexico: Architecture, Katsinam, and the Land" and "Saya Woolfalk: The Empathics!"
*Full-service bar with special First Thursday Night prices.
*Tours will be offered every hour on the half hour of "Georgia O'Keeffe in New Mexico" (5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m.). Topics will change on a monthly basis.
*Live music provided by the MSU John J. Cali School of Music Jazz Studies Program, led by saxophonist Dan Braden.
*Slide Night: Combat Paper NJ: Drop by Leir Hall for an informal gathering hosted by Combat Paper NJ. Combat Paper NJ turns uniforms into paper, telling stories through art with the motto: deconstruct, reclaim, communicate. Select images by members will be projected across the screen in a format that makes the presentation concise and keeps things moving at a rapid pace. This is a rare chance to meet these veteran artists from your community and surrounding area.
Free First Thursday Nights are made possible by a generous grant from the Roche Foundation and offered in partnership with Egan & Sons.
